In May 2023, Northpoint and Siddall & Hilton completed another successful project, this time heading to Calais, France.
The project location dictated the need for a marine grade coating system for that would withstand harsh environments. The mesh fence panels were to be installed at the Calais border. As experts in anti-corrosion coatings, Northpoint recommended a marine-grade coating solution ideal for the application – a duplex system in RAL9010 Pure White.
As the fencing surrounds the N216, the main road heading into the Port of Calais, selecting the powder coating system that would meet the project requirements was complex. The chosen coating system delivers superior longevity for C4 and C5 environments, compared to other coating solutions.
The system provides excellent protection against parts which are exposed to environmental factors, such as:
- Temperature
- High UV
- High pollutions
- Salt spray
