Northpoint Ltd presently have a Spray Operative Vacancy to fill:

Spray Operative – Bakeware

Job Description:

  • Prepare and apply both wet and powder paint systems to industrial bakeware
  • Clean and maintain spray guns
  • Have an understanding of both water based and solvent based paint systems
  • Hours of work – 14:00 – 23:00 Mon, Tue & Wed, 14:00 – 23:30 Thur, 14:00 – 18:00 Fri; 37.5 hrs/week
  • Rate of Pay:  £7.00/hr + 9% shift allowance
  • Overtime paid at 1.5 x £7.00 after the first 37.5 hrs has been worked

Essential:

  • Experience of wet paint spray application with a gravity fed manual spray gun
  • Able to dismantle and reassemble the spray gun
  • Able to clean the spray gun appropriately
  • Experience of powder coating

Desirable:

  • FLT license (not an in-house)
  • Non-smoker
  • Willingness to learn

The person will work as part of an established team in the coating application of non-stick coatings (Teflon) for industrial bakeware.  The position has become available after a period of sustained growth and therefore some overtime is to be expected.
