Northpoint Bakery Equipment and Release Coatings

Northpoint have been a supplier to the industrial bakery industry for over 20 years providing tins, trays and release coatings optimised for the specific bakery application.

Equipment Supply

Northpoint can supply a range of bread tins in singles, straps or blocks as well as lids (drop on covers) in sizes and configurations to suit the bakery's specific requirements. These can be supplied made of alusteel or aluminium and can be coated in a range of release coatings to suit the bake application.

Northpoint can also supply a range of baking trays again in sizes and configurations to suit the bakery application. As with bread tins these can be made of alusteel or aluminium and can be supplied with a release coating applied designed to suit the bake application.

Release Coatings

Northpoint offer a suite of release coatings designed around the bake application;

  • Lid coatings designed to offer release and high-temperature resistance
  • Silicon Glaze (polysilane) on tins and trays as a low cost release coating
  • PTFE multi-coat systems for high sugar bakery applications
  • FEP 2-coat system on tins and trays as a long-life low cost release coating
  • PFA 2-coat system on tins, lids and trays offering excellent performance at a budget cost
  • FEP 3+ multi-coat systems on tins and trays dependant on bakery application designed for very long life
  • PFA 3+ multi-coat systems on tins and trays dependant on bakery application designed for very long life at higher bake temperatures
  • HYBRID 3+ multi-coat systems on tins and trays dependant on bakery application designed for high temperature and wear resistance

Benefits of Northpoint Release Coatings

By using long-life release coatings the baker will see a number of benefits centred around the removal of oils and grease from the baking operation:

  • Reduction or elimination of secondary release agents such as grease, oil and grease proof paper therefore a time and cost saving
  • Carbonised deposits on the baked product will be minimised as a result of the elimination of oil and grease release agents
  • De-panning problems will be minimised facilitating productivity improvements and less reject product
  • The work environment will be cleaner, easier to keep clean and safer from a reduced fire hazard
  • There will be a reduction in plant maintenance costs because long life release coating last around 10 times longer than traditional silicon glaze coatings
